This class continues with the introduction of odor(s) used in Scent Work. This level builds on all of the foundation exercises done in Levels 1, 2, and 3 but with odor. Birch, Anise, and Clove will all be utilized in this class. The concept of pairing will continue to condition the dog to odor and to develop good sourcing through self-reward. Searches may expand to include other rooms or outdoors. Links to approved sources for odor will be provided in class. This class will be held at the Star City Training Building, 1860 Apperson Drive, Salem, VA 24153 or you will be notified weekly of the location.
Prerequisites: Intro to Scent work, Level 3 must be completed prior to this class. Dogs must be able to stay quiet in a crate and/or in their vehicle in-between their turns.
