As new challenges are added, teams will continue to focus on seeking out source with multiple odors in one environment. The handler continues to read the dog as they work through more challenging, less accessible hides. Teams continue to build stamina, energy and mental focus to do larger and longer search areas. Recognizing odor obedience over object focus becomes part of the handler skills. This class will be held at Unity of Roanoke Valley, 3300 Green Ridge Road, Roanoke, VA 24019 or you will be notified weekly of the location.
Prerequisites: ORT and NW 1 Prep/Skill Building should be completed prior to taking this class. Please inquire regarding equivalent training. Dogs must be able to stay quiet in a crate and/or in their vehicle in-between their turns.
