Congratulations on your new puppy. What an exciting time for you and your family! Our puppy class, for puppies 8-18 weeks of age, is planned to guide you through the critical stages of your puppy’s development with emphasis on socialization, prevention of problems and teaching basic manners and commands.

Prerequisites: Puppies must be 8-18 weeks on the date of the first class.

Notes: Maximum of 6 students. No puppies the first night of class.

If this is the first time your dog is attending one of our classes you must supply your most recent dog vaccination records from your veterinarian. Please upload the record along with this form, or bring it to class on the first night. Your vaccination record must be on file with us before you are permitted to participate in class.

Notes About Classes and Fees

1: SCCTC will notify you when your completed application has been received regarding the status of your enrollment in a class. When each class reaches maximum capacity, or when the registration deadline passes, all students for that class will be provided with a final notice regarding the class. If the class you wanted fills, you will be placed on a waiting list in the event someone drops the class before the classes have started. If we are unable to accommodate you in the session for which you have applied, we can enroll you in the next available session or return your payment to you. 2: Unless you are notified otherwise For “Puppy” and “Beginner I” classes, the first night of class is for handlers only; dogs should not come until the second night. 3: After the first week of class with dogs, refunds are not available without the prior approval of the Obedience Chairman, Agility Chairman, or the Training Director. 4: SCCTC charges a $35 fee for all returned checks.

Understand that we are responsible for the dogs and any visitors actions at all times, and that Star City Canine Training Club of Roanoke (“SCCTC”) may dismiss any dog or visitor for aggressive or unruly behavior.
Agree to hold harmless SCCTC, its members, directors, officers, agents, or instructors, and the owner or lessor of the premises in case of any accident, injury, or illness to me, my dog, or any member of my family or visitor, which, in any way, results from or arises out of participation in classes offered or sponsored by SCCTC, or while on (or adjacent to) the premises.
Agree not to hold SCCTC or its instructors responsible for any actions of my dog during or following the completion of any class.

I hereby agree that I am attending SCCTC classes at my own risk and take full responsibility for my own health and safety and that of my dog during this event. I will follow club rules and cooperate with city, county, and state guidelines to reduce any exposure and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. I agree that SCCTC is in no way liable for any COVID-19 exposure incurred by participation in SCCTC classes. I release SCCTC from any liability due to COVID-19 exposure or illness of myself and/or my dog which in any way results from or arises out of our participation in SCCTC classes. This Hold Harmless and Release is effective through December 31, 2022.
