During this class, you will practice all of the Novice and Advanced Rally Obedience signs in a coursework format. AKC Rally Novice and Advanced signs (Signs 1 – 123) will be used. Distractions may be added. Focus will be on coursework while fine tuning the footwork, heeling and fluency in preparation for competition. Dog and handler will also work towards performing the signs off leash.
Requirements: Knowledge and practice of AKC Rally Novice and Advanced signs (signs 1 – 123). Must have knowledge of correct heel position, fronts and finishes to the left and right, controlled loose leash heeling with the dog on your left side. Dogs should also be able to down, sit and stand reliably. AKC Rally Regulations (rule book)
Notes: Maximum of 6 students. One dog per handler. Dogs will be working ON and OFF leash.
Dogs must be able to stay quiet in a crate while others are in the ring.
